Specialized Treatment for Anxiety, Phobias, OCD and Related Disorders
Finding a specialist who is skilled at treating OCD and phobias can be a difficult and frustrating path! Those who suffer with these disorders often wait years and try many clinicians before finding evidence based treatment. I am dedicated to helping those who suffer and their families break free. While I may be the expert in OCD. You are the expert in you. I love what I do and hope to collaborate with you as you find the life that you deserve!
After living and practicing psychotherapy Tulsa for over 20 years, we moved to Rogers, Arkansas in 2020. I maintain my Tulsa office and have a psychotherapy office in Rogers as well. The need for counselors who have specialty training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is significant. In order to help meet that need, I have clinical licenses in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. If you reside in one of these states, you are eligible to receive my services. I provide telehealth as well as in person services.
In person scheduling is available on Monday and Wednesday in Rogers, Arkansas. Virtual scheduling is available on Monday-Thursday. Please note that Tuesday and Thursday are virtual only days.

What is OCD?
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder usually develops between the ages of 8-12 or in late teens to early adulthood. People with OCD have obsessions (repeated, intrusive, unwanted thoughts/images/urges) and compulsions (a physical behavior or mental ritual you feel you “must do” to prevent something bad from happening) that temporarily relieve distress and anxiety.
What is a phobia?
A phobia is an uncontrollable, irrational, and lasting fear of a certain object, situation, or activity. This fear can be so overwhelming that a person may go to great lengths to avoid the source of this fear. One response can be a panic attack. This is a sudden, intense fear that lasts for several minutes. It happens when there is no real danger.
Common phobia themes: Fear of Animals, Fear of Medical Procedures, Fear of things in the natural environment, and Fear of specific situations.
Fear of animals - dogs, snakes, spiders, horses, etc
Fear of medical procedures - needles, dentist, doctors, falls, etc
Fear of things in natural environment - storms, rain, heights, darkness, etc
Fear of specific situations - vomiting, flying, elevators. choking, etc
